““Jeff is a great instructor. His mastery of the guitar and guitar styles is impressive. He’s introduced me to music theory, which makes it possible for me to do much, much more than just a few licks and tricks. I appreciate that he pushes me to excel and provides genuine encouragement. I can’t wait to get to class and I always feel great on the way home.”-Art J.”
About Jeff
Hello, my name is Jeff Eyman and my love for music began at an early age and has not wavered since. I studied music through out high school and college. Along with the academic study of music I have performed with numerous bands and have participated in several recording sessions.
I started my teaching business in 2010. Originally located in Walnut Creek, I moved to the current lesson studio location in Pleasant Hill to accommodate the teaching of more then one student at a time.
I have developed a method of teaching that I feel is very successful. I believe in working on the basics of developing a strong foundation. This includes working on timing, counting, reading, and understanding a basic level of music theory.
I believe it’s important for the student to be motivated so I supplement the lessons with learning songs that excite you!
Everybody is different and learns differently, I will work with the student to find a system that works for them!
Learning to play music is not a race and we will progress at a pace the student is comfortable with.
Jeff offers guitar, piano, bass guitar, ukulele lessons and beginner lessons in banjo, dobro, lap steel, violin, autoharp, harmonica, recorder, drums, flute and dulcimer.
